Glittering Holiday

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Well, after the glitter pumpkin experience at Halloween, I was addicted to Martha Stewart glitter. The December issue of Blueprint (soon to be defunct, *sob*) had this glitter candle idea. And, all I could think was — yes.. more glitter.
So, among all of the other handmade gifts from this year (most [...]

Fully Baked

Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

I have a hot tan from our Labor day in Myrtle Beach, and our visit to Emerald Isle. It took the whole summer to get it now, but it’s happened! Ding!
Oak has been on a baking kick lately, so I got him a copy of Martha Stewart’s Baking Handbook for his birthday. [...]

Marthalicious

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Since it seems all I do lately is blog about Martha Stewart, I figured, why not add to the fire? I’ve been faithfully watching “Martha” each night off the DVR, though I do admit to the episode only actually lasting about half an hour after fast forwarding through boring interviews with celebrities/motivational speakers/authors that [...]

Sparkling

Friday, October 21st, 2005

Is anyone dressing up for Halloween??? If so, do you have a fabulous costume idea?? I realize this week I might need to brainstorm a costume. Maybe I’ll just be a princess for the 35th time. (OK I haven’t had that many halloweens yet….)
I do not have any halloween decor as yet, [...]

Fueling the Marthaness

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

Just to fuel my Martha Stewart obsession, it turns out oh, approximately .5 miles from where we just bought our townhouse they are building a subdivision based on the many homes of Martha Stewart.
Apparently she is even naming the streets. Perhaps someday I will live on “Good Thing Lane.” LOL.

Martha’s comeback

Monday, September 26th, 2005

Is anyone else as obsessed with tracking Martha Stewart’s comeback as I am? Her morning show, “Martha” and “Martha Stewart: Apprentice” are both programmed on the DVR. I am sure that Oak does not appreciate this, but I had to compete with the excess Stargate episodes somehow!
Anyhow, today’s Martha was a great episode. [...]

Martha’s latest

Sunday, January 9th, 2005

My Martha Stewart newsletter informed me of a new show premiering on PBS called Everyday food. I got a free issue of this magazine a few years ago when it first came out (which, while perusing for another magazine subscription on ebay, I saw selling for $25! If only I had kept it..).
While [...]

Entry #700

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003

Amazing, huh? I really know how to rattle on and on forever, eh?
So, back to the old grind. I had lots of fun shopping in NY, even if it was just at the standard discount stores My mom and I also had the standard Denny’s, perfect NY goodies (doesn’t compare to [...]

Martha’s pre-planned weekend

Thursday, April 18th, 2002

Martha’s fun plans for the weekend (as in my Martha Stewart Living magazine):
Friday: Niece Sophie’s birthday; put out peony supports in garden
Saturday: Go antiquing in Maine; organize cookbook library
Sunday: Take nieces to a Broadway show
I only wish my life was so exciting and organized! lol. I mean [...]

21st Barbie Birthday Bash

Thursday, March 21st, 2002

I’ve found my 21st birthday party theme!. (which is in July mind you, but I’m planning ahead!) Of course, it would have to be sophisticized with Cosmopolitans and cocktail weenies! The Barbie cake really puts it over the top!
