There hasn’t been much holiday spirit here (yet) what with all the renovations. The only thing that has been done is some shopping – no tree, no outside decor, we’re regular ol’ Scrooges. Unless you call Drywall dust a festive snowy decor item?? Hmm.. Yes, I think that’s a good angle.
I have been listening to some Christmas music on Pandora to get in the spirit.. some interesting new rock renditions can be found on this channel that Nichole posted on facebook.
That brings us to today’s question. What is your favorite Christmas or otherwise “holiday” song? I’ll start by revealing mine….
Sleigh Ride. This is quite possibly THE most fun Christmas song I ever played in high school band, and I’ve loved it ever since. I’ll stick to my nerdy roots and reveal that I prefer the orchestral version, but I will pretty much be happy with any version I hear!

i love the orchestra version of sleigh ride! i played a dumbed down version in high school, but i would love to play the original sometime.
aside from that, i love oh holy night. i have a great arrangement i play on my piano.
