Yeah, so I know Web 2.0 is like Soooo 2006. In case you haven’t noticed my blog is no longer on the bleeding edge of social networking technologies. For awhile there in college, I had to have the latest blog software, with the coolest bloggy toolness and ring a things. Those days are apparently over as after staring at XML all day I would rather sit and cut things out of paper or watch TV than hack away at my website.
Anyway, just to prove to myself that I’m not growing old and getting left behind in the blog technology-ness of it all, I added my del.icio.us links and twitter to the side bar on the right. I’m trendy yet again! Woohoo.
I’ve actually been using del.icio.us for about a year and a half. For those of you who might not know, it’s basically a site where you can keep track of all your bookmarks. Handy if you use a lot of different computers and want to be able to access your bookmarks from any of them.
Twitter is a more recent addition. At first I thought it was kind of stupid to post what you’re doing at a given moment, but then I remembered what great fun it was to check AIM away messages in college. (BTW does anyone actually use AIM anymore?) So, I’m thinking that is where I can put a random thought when I have one but don’t have the time to write up a blog entry. (You don’t even have to go to the twitter site to do it, you can just send the twitter ID a message from google chat! so tricky!)
So… over there on the right… see it?? Good. On that note, I leave you with a hilarious Dilbert comic about Web 2.0. Is it sad that I am beginning to find Dilbert funnier and funnier every day?
My next webby goal is to actually make my own wordpress site template, but that might be a long time coming!
