In high school, I was pretty sure I was one of the biggest geeks around. Then I went to college and learned the vast reality of uber-geekiness: Dungeons and Dragons, long black trenchcoats, and the wonderful world of online gaming – in which you play the game at your computer while shouting down the hall to other people who are playing the game with you. Wonderful. I realized I wasn’t so much of a geek after all (of course, I think this is mostly the result of being surrounded by engineering majors).
But now, I realize that everyone’s a geek in some way. Take a look at this poster, and you’ll realize that you probably at least somewhat fit into at least one of the geek categories. Am I geeky for knowing what some of the geekier geeks are? Knowing isn’t being.. that’s what I’ll tell myself.
So, the participatory item for the week: Share which geek you are!!! (I’ll share mine in the comments so you can look at the poster first!)
