I proposed to the crew that we go to V’s teas and treasures for the “Murder mystery night.” (Oak and I have been obsessed ever since the murder mystery night we did on our cruise in January.) We had no idea what to expect. V’s is definitely a place for “Ladies who lunch” and enjoy collecting $500 chairs that you can’t sit on. We got there early, so the girls and I had a look around the shop while the boys ran off for a beer across the street.

It just happened to be on the one night of the entire month where it actually got below 70 degrees. And, of course, the performance was outside on the porch of the store/tea house. We watched an interesting murder mystery performance of Red Rum. The actors and dialogue ran from serious to funny to just plain silly. The murderer was also someone you completely would not expect.

The pastries from Swank Cake design and the tea were excellent, however, and overall made the evening worthwhile (at least to me!). Not to mention the fact that I won a door prize!!! It’s a cute little teapot candle.
