Oak and I are taking a cake decorating class together at Michaels this month.Tuesday was our first “hands-on” class, where we brought in our own cakes to decorate. We used a pattern transfer method to put the outline of the designs on the cake, and then filled them in with the star piping tip. It’s a lot of fun and reminds me of a coloring book. There are limitless designs! I just went simple with a fairytale colored pumpkin. Oak stole my orange and also put a pumpkin next to his piggy.
Overall it was a fun and exciting experience and we’re looking forward to next week, when we’re learning roses and other figures. Ding!

Hi Carrie! I saw the cake decorating class at Michaels advertised a few weeks ago but didn’t take the initiative to sign up. It looks like so much fun! You’ve inspired me to sign up the next time it becomes available!
