With Oak working at Duke, we have been exploring Durham. I met him up there for a lunch date on Friday, where we tried the lunch at Grasshopper, . Oak had the Vietnamese pork sandwich, and I had the Grasshopper chicken. We both left the restaurant with burning (but happy) taste buds, so Oak took me to Loco pops.

He had been talking this place up ever since his coworker took him there, but – oh my gosh. I had a Mexican chocolate popsicle– it was amazing. I probably could have eaten about 10 popsicles right there in the store – but yeah, trying to watch the wedding waistline.. hehe. I brought home a tangerine pomegranate popsicle that I ate later… also good, but no comparison to the chocolate.

Luckily loco pops are a small-scale treat so you don’t feel you’ve completely blown your diet after eating one (especially if you get the water-based ones instead of the decadent cream-based delights!). Plus, they are only $1 for the small size. Hellow, what a bargain!
