Is it just me or is it waaaay too early for holiday lights? I’ve already spotted a couple in my neighborhood. I’ll go ahead and agree that orange-colored lights can be festive during this “harvest” time of year. However … general multi-colored lights? Hellow ! Those should NOT be out until the day after Thanksgiving at the earliest! What is wrong with these people?

In one of our friends’ apartment complexes, they have white lights on the trees all winter long. Oak calls these “winter lights.” However, only acceptable if it’s actually winter! oy.

At least I haven’t spotted any large inflatable Christmas objects adorning any yards yet. (Like this one – includes real snow… omg) Those are the bane of my holiday existance. *shudder*

BTW, do you think Martha would improve of large inflatable holiday decor? I doubt it. That’s a good reason not to do it, thankyouverymuch. I am feeling inclined to read our restrictive covenants (ie the stuff the homeowners association says we can and cannot do to our house exterior). Should I propose an anti-inflatable clause? I think so.

BEFORE HALLOWEEN, I saw a christmas tree in the front window at our apartment complex. Whats up with that one?? Talk about rushing the holiday!
