2 sets of fireworks this weekend!! That’s definitely a first… besides when I worked at Six flags and saw them every night, which barely counts.
Anyhow, where did that weekend go?? Well, the product of (at least part) of the weekend is in our downstairs bathroom, which a) has the ugly wallpaper border removed and b) is now a two-toned paradise of green and BRIGHT green. Ding. Bathrooms are a tad of a pain, as there is a lot of taping off and angles and whatnot. Most of the touchup is done, except the ceiling. We found that for the bumpy ceilings you’re supposed to use this spray stuff for touch up. Who knew. So we have that and have not yet attempted to use it… But soon, yes. Just have to install the fixtures (a new towel ring and toilet paper holder!) and that room is done. Wahoo! Of course, the perfect accessories will also come in time. Must be patient.
I’m sure there is more to talk about, but I’d like to conclude this entry with the fact that Oak and I have concluded that the year 2005 is the year of the hot dog. Our favorites are the Nathan’s hot dogs you buy from the dude at the cart outside of Lowes. They rock.

Mmmmmm….hot dogs. I love the sound of “The Year of The Hot Dog” like the chinese tradition (year of the rooster, etc.) I have to say my favorite brand hot dog is zweigle’s. the hot dogs they have at ball games are also always absolutely scrumpscious. in italy we have hot dogs, but they’re the cheap-o kind that taste like…well, not so good. We call them wurstel en Italiano. (and they really are worse-stil)hehehe.lol. anyways, your bathroom sounds hot. i’ve been doing a lot of wine tasting lately and working working working. We love Oak’s BBQ recipe! I’m going to try to make one from scratch and see how it goes. I gave Luca directions how to make BBQ the other day and he did a really good job. Denise makes a BBQ sauce with raisins she soaked in burbon and then blends into a chunky puree. i feel that sounds tasty. miss you lots!!!! love, Sheesh

I just need to tell you again how much I love this tall refreshing glass of lemonade. i think as the summer goes on, you should lower the amount of lemonade so the ice cubes can show–a symbolic representation that the summer is slowly fading. Going to the sea with Luca this weekend and hopefully will have a chance then to talk freely (since no one will understand a single word I say in English) how are the wedding plans going?? Miss you TONS!
