My good friend Sarah from high school got married this past weekend. Shira and I were 2 of the bridesmaids!
The most fun of this whole experience had to be receiving the before-hand pampering- pedicures and manicures. A nice precursor to the many hours of abuse that occurred to my feet that day.
I highly recommend this experience to any brides/bridesmaids to be.
I highly enjoyed dancing with our hot high school dance moves all night. A highlight: a spirited version of the Grease Megamix to celebrate how many times we watched that movie at our high school sleepovers.
Coming home was a bit of a nightmare. Independence air cancelled my flight on Sunday night, so I had to fly out on Monday. (Luckily I got to stay in the Fancy Hotel near the airport. I took that opportunity to steal several flavored creamers to stash at work.) THEN, they didn’t get my checked bag onto the plane so I did not receive it until 10:30 PM on Monday night. Oy. I do have many dollars of free travel with them now, so I must consider the possibilities!

Well, that was a very beautiful blast of the past!! Carrie you look beautiful. Dig the funky do!! Good to see the girls again if only in a picture. By the way…I don’t see Kevin Cooper in any of these pictures unless he has changed a lot. If so, which one is he?? hehe…Great job!
Love,
Mommy

Kevin is in this picture, second from the left (I think I remember him having facial hair).
For all other loyal readers, Kevin is our old neighbor, who coincidentally enough, is good friends with Ryan, the groom.
The funniest part of this story is that back in the early 1990s, my family sold Kevin this wooden lamp at a garage sale. Kevin passed this lamp on to Sarah and Ryan … and eventually we figured out that it now adorns her downstairs lounge.
That lamp has gotten a lot of mileage.

LOL!! Okay, well now that I look at it again it looks like him but the first time I looked at it the person looked like he was bald. I think that you should ask Sarah to give the lamp back to you when she is sick of it so that it can be the new lamp exchange. hehe…we can send it to Aunt Lisa! hehe

hey Carrie! I LOVE this layout! It’s been a while since I’ve actually been around to other sites. I’m off next week for a couple of days, so I’m going to re-add my links page etc.
Liked the wedding pics too!
