legtable.jpg Don’t adjust your monitor. An innocent woman has not been stripped from the top half of her body, that is a table with, as the website says, “a great pair of legs.”

Who else is slightly frightened, and at the same time reminded of the ugly Leg lamps from the Christmas Story movie?

Both websites happen to advertise their wares as a conversation piece. There’s a shocker. “So, what do you think of my fabulous leg table?”…”Well, gee, aren’t you afraid it might come to life and walk out of the room?”

Note to self: Avoid decorating with appendages.

With Memorial day being the “first official weekend of summer,” I figured it was time for a fresh beginning on here.

Citrusy new website layout? Check. Tangerine-colored kitchen? Check. Cheerful fruit-adorned cafe curtains? Check.

Okay, summer, I’m ready. (Except for some green birkenstock wannabes and a new pair of khaki capri pants. One thing at a time here, people.)

After checking out these nubuck thongs for over a month, I go to buy them today online and the green is SOLD OUT! Why oh why did they have to go on sale?? Sigh.

I do admit, they are a cheap knockoff of the $90 Spearmint Gizeh birkis, but alas, I did want them so. Why are Birkenstocks, AKA “hippy shoes” such a costly product? Bummer. Silly German-engineered products. A similar knockoff was spotted at Sears while grill-shopping a few weeks ago so I must go check that situation out immediately.

Yet another subscription needs to be added to my monthly pile of glossies. Domino,
is like Lucky for your home. Like I really need to browse $500 vases and $3000 couches on a monthly basis. Cannot resist…

Speaking of decor, the townhouse-unpacking is going pretty well. Mostly though we have been eating products of Oak’s new grill. Not that I will complain about that. We do now have a laser level for the perfect hanging of Ikea Flower Pictures. Sweet.

This morning, while watching good morning america, I swore I saw Jess from poprocks.com. Then, I after visiting her site, I discovered my brain IS actually capable of working early in the morning. Ding!

This afternoon, on an unexpected trip to the IBM cafeteria, I discovered a new Starbucks Frappucino flavor: Mint Mocha. The original plan was just to buy some soup to go with my pork sandwich that Oak made with the new rotisserie, but I found it impossible to resist the little green-highlighted bottle of caffeine.

Besides, I needed it. Work is getting just slightly intense.. but will probably be worse next week.

Our townhouse is looking h-a-w- to the t. Mission for the weekend: convince Oak that hanging blinds and curtains is Fun and Easy. (well, the packaging does say “Easy” at least!). Mission #2 : strawberries. They are already in season here and we need to stock up and make some strawberry shortcake. Yes.

But for now, back to thinking about Enterprise Workload Managment. I know you’re jealous.
