My new favorite commuting activity is to count the ribbon magnets on cars.

I realized that on occasion people enjoy sticking them all over the place. I counted 4 on one car once. The average per 10-mile commute is about 8 or 9 of them. Not including the parking lots. So I suppose it’s a sizeable amount. It gets difficult to remember which cars I’ve already counted, though, so if anyone has advice about that it would be valued.

Perhaps I should move on to the “sports balls” magnets. The most popular in the Cary area is, of course, the soccer ball. But I do see other balls on occasion – heck there’s even a “dancer” sticker on a minivan I usually park next to at work. My parents would have needed a “Band Nerd” sticker. I have yet to see one of those driving around.

There is supposed to be “wintry mix” precipitation tomorrow, so I might be able to make a running tally of all of the stickers when I am stuck in traffic for hours. Stay tuned.
