I am doing well in keeping up posting stuff so far. Yahoo.
Today I got a haircut with Sandy, my finally-found favorite hairdresser in the triangle. Thank god. I love not having to worry if my hair is going to be cut to look like Dora the explorer.
I also went to one of my favorite local hangouts, da Library. The Cary library has this “magazine exchange” where you can drop off your old magazines, and take whatever you like from what other people have brought in. And this week, I just about had a coronary because the latest issue of Budget Living was there! Hellow, I was just thinking 2 days ago that I needed to go out and buy the latest copy. Now I don’t have to. Ding!
Because of the annoying alumni newsletters, I discovered that RPI is “America’s most connected campus.” Not a huge surprise. But a 60:100 student to computer ratio? I guess that must just be counting the desktop computers on campus, because some people definitely had 4+ computers housed in their dorm rooms. And if you didn’t at least have one computer, you were definitely some kind of alien from another planet, certainly not an RPI student. I like how the article also failed to mention “amount of campus online traffic due to online gaming.” Ah well, they probably didn’t want to show how much we would have won by on that one.

I love how you mentioned Dora the Explorer, since I had that quote in your profile for a good while about it
How you are like Dora the Explorer, but not 6 years old, or spanish.

Yes, speaking of Dora the Explorer…
Halloween was huge in my neighborhood (apparently there are lots of kids who live there), and one little girl came up to my front door in a Dora costume. Unfortunately, the wig and everything gave me an 80s flashback to “Barbie and the Rockers”, so I asked this poor little kid if she was from “Barbie and the Rockers”.
Mom was pretty offended and was like “Oh, well, you havent heard of Dora the Explorer then!” Soooooooooorrrrrrrrry! (NOT)

Elisabeth, that is hilarious! Honestly I didn’t even know what half the kids costumes were – I mostly got 8 and 9 year old boys that were dressed up like random goblins and whatnot. lol.
Barbie and the Rockers would have been a much more original costume, don’t you think?

Oh, Carrie, if you’re looking for a good magazine, try to find the November issue of Better Homes & Gardens.. There’s a huge article in there about Hurd’s Orchard, in Holley, NY. They had all these awesome holiday recipes from the Orchard (western NY comfort foods
