Remember the horrid Rachel Ray debate? Well, I forgot to say, we did give a couple of her recipes a try. I was like, OK I never want to spend more than 30 minutes cooking.. let’s give this a try.
Well first Oak made some fancy chicken medallions that had goat cheese and roasted red peppers inside. They were pretty tasty (though could have used a light sauce) – but reportedly took MORE than 3 hours.
THEN, I tried some Sesame noodles. Oh, the horror. An hour and a half grating vegetables, stirring separated tahini, oh lord. Then I try it and it tastes like CRAP! What-ever Rachel.
Right now I am perusing the Dinner Doctor. I haven’t tried any yet though.
I need to write a “5-minute meals” book. I’d make a million.
By the way – the MiGi girls are TOTAL Queen Motifa knock-offs. Shira – WE should be on the Fine Living Network planning the Perfect Parties! What-ever.

Oh no! That doesnt sound like very much fun at all! I really enjoy watching Rachael Ray doing it, but I definitely would not want to!
Anyways, we are bracing for our second hurricane in 3 weeks.. Go figure, after 45 years, central Florida is getting SLAMMED!

I hate Rachel Ray. She couldn’t possibly be more annoying if she tried. I’m not sure why the food network picked her to host that show (maybe because she has alliteration in her name), but I’m positive that just about anyone else in the world could have turned that thirty minute slot into something intelligent and worthwhile to watch. I have to say that I am not surprised her recipes turned out like crapola–what do you expect?!?! We need to start submitting articles/ideas to the Food Network so that (at long last) the world can appreciate our motifa talent.

I won’t blame it completely on Rachel Ray. I think I might have bought the wrong kind of tahini paste. Whoops.
But the recipes still take longer than advertised. Maybe a half an hour if you’re speedy at preparing vegetables and whatnot.. Shira, apparently Rachel Ray is from the capital region of Upstate NY – about 30 minutes or so from RPI. We missed an opportunity to beat her up and steal the 30-minute empire!

It should be the Shira Crane special, that would be much better. You could share your wit and wisdom and cooking goodness to the masses! And carrie can design your set and wardrobe!

This is proof that any entry I write that mentions Rachael Ray gets a ton of comments. LOL
