So, yeah. Moving. Always a fun experience. I complained last year, I’m sure, when packing up my college dorm. This year though – there is just so much MORE. It’s amazing how much we’ve accumulated in a year. Couches, all sorts of furniture, 27″ television, huge bed, washer, dryer.. it goes on and on, really. The thing is – we really do use all of it. I don’t think the people on Clean Sweep would be too mad at me (ok, except my 15 stuffed animals and Barbie collection – can I help I was an extremely spoiled child?).
Tommorrow at noon we will have the keys to our new place. Essential first “new apartment” purchases? First, a bistro table for our new deck with a cute little battery-operated lantern to sit on it. Getting that whole thing was an experience, but not amusing enough to merit being in my weblog.
I also went crazy and bought 2 different shower curtains for the guest bathroom. So, what do you think? Swell Stripes or Eva Bubbles? Actually, it’s up to Oak to decide when he gets home from work tonight.
Don’t worry – I plan to take “before” and “after” pictures of our new apartment. Please note that “after” may not actually come for 2 months, ok?
It’s amazing the things that excite you when you are Old.

Both of those shower curtains are eh. The bubbles one is scary, like clown scary. Yay! for the new place though! I’ll have to come down and visit y’all sometime. As long as you two don’t start saying y’all tho

I guess I am voting for the polkadot one just because Allan critisized it! lol Yep, it sure doesn’t take long to accumulate STUFF. I am wondering though about the mention of you being old. hehe…I must be petrified then. Hope your moving goes smoothly and safely and wish I could be there to help you.

Ahem, after June 4th, you should come down to Orlando and help me decorate my new townhouse!!! Yup, I got a contract on a townhouse today in the lovely suburb of Sanford, north of Orlando.. 3/2.5, 1800 square feet, lakefront, with a hot tub (ohh-la-la!) and a private deck off the Master bedroom overlooking the lake! Needs all new paint (ugh, I hate that part) and lots of decorating!!

I’m totally surprised by your choice of shower curtains!! They’re not girly at all!! (I feel this is Oak’s influence on you shining through, and I have to ask “OAK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO CARRIE!?!?!?!)
haha. I wish you could have gone to IKEA with me last week (BIG MISTAKE) b/c they had the HOTTEST ones ever–and matching BATHMATS for only $5. I excercised serious restraint and spent my money on another extremely hot large paper lamp (as my other one is at home–woes). But now I have a plain old borning white curtain hanging up, so I think I might try to make my own design…
