Just typed a whole entry then accidentally closed the window. Damn! Anyhow, spent a lovely weekend in the outer banks of North Carolina near Bodie Island Light on the Hatteras National Seashore. Anne and I went with a bunch of people from work and it was tons of fun!
First, I had lots of yummy food. I had Mahi-mahi the first night, which was fabulous. It had mango salsa and was blackened. Lup lup. I got it cleared up that Mahi-mahi is a Dolphin FISH, not actual Dolphin (Oak had me semi-convinced over our cruise that it was dolphin, though we know he was just doing this to make Pete mad.. I was still a little confused on the topic). The second night I had Lousiana pork and shrimp, which was also spicy and very good. Yummy yummy!
Last night we went to a club that one of the guys’ friends’ bands was playing at (totally apostrosized that wrong, oh well). They were quite the unbelievable talent – everything from Gloria Gaynor to Sublime! Possibly even more amusing was watching the interesting people. This one sketchy guy with a mullet kept trying to hit on chicks for the first 3/4 of the night, then finally found one and was making out with her in the middle of the dance floor for the remainder of the evening. Can we say scary? haha. It was highly entertaining!
Other than that, we had a lot of fun at the beach. I even managed to get a little bit of a tan! Yay. Overall a fruitful trip! 
In other news, I got a seriously large TV (27″) that now adorns our living room. It’s very hot, though we need to get cable TV because there is no reception around here! (All we get is the WB !! not that there is anything wrong with that, of course… lol).
Work is going fine, not too highly stressful or anything like that yet. This week a lot of my co-workers are going on vacation! I get Friday off, yahoo! Love this country! muah ha ha.

Wow! That sounds like a great trip!! Did you get one of those ridiculous OBX bumper stickers that, it seems, everyone in the entire world has? Well, if not, I have an extra one for Greenlee. I’ll have to mail it. hahahaa. Good to hear everything is going well in NC. Have you decorated your apartment at all? As one of the biggest carrievision fans, I am begging for some serious documentation!! Miss you lots! ~Sheesh

OMG Those OBX stickers are So Hot! Or Not. The letters remind me too much of Box (look if you rearrange them… hahaha).
