I am very sad that I don’t get very many comments left on most of my postings. Are my posts really that boring? I hope not.

I have created a lovely new discussion topic, one that I know will create controversy and excitement amongst my faithful readers.

The discussion topic is… box. What does box mean to you? When you think of a box, what first comes to mind? Its contents, the unknown pleasure that may lurk inside? Or the fear that it will only be empty, leaving your hopes and dreams crushed?

OK. That’s enough. Discuss. (i.e. hello.. click the little “comments” link right below) thank you!

My most recent pursual in academia is my Intermediate Digital Imaging Project. Yes, I am making really big magnetic poetry for RPI’s campus and putting it up on some sort of metal surface in a public area. When this does actually happen in a few weeks, please participate! (Participating does not mean stealing my words, thankyouverymuch!)

I found a neato holiday idea at The Very Big Blog

The one and only JingleBlog! Basically it is a Secret Santa gift exchange, and you receive the URL of another person that has joined. Just by reading their site, you are supposed to decide on a small gift ($10) to send them.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to join or not yet – but it would be interesting to see what kind of gift I would get just from the knowledge presented in this web presence! Haha. We shall see. I have a few more days yet.

I have been a very good girl and have not babbled on and on about the cruise that Oak and I are going on in December. But now, with a mere month left, I feel the babbling can begin. However, I made a separate spot for my cruise talk to live. Go there at least once to check out the layout, it’s pretty hot if I do say so myself. After the trip, this site will also host photos and whatnot, so it may be more enjoyable in the near future.

Due to the very large amount of musicals and Friends episodes I have been watching lately, I noticed that our pal Joey on Friends (Matt LeBlanc) has a twin in the movie version of West Side Story: the feisty Jet Action, played by Tony Mordente.

Allan and I thought that it was Joey for a few minutes, then duh, this movie was made in the 60s, when Joey was probably not even born yet, or a little tyke at the most.
I wonder if they’re related.

Today while walking to class I was attacked by a huge monsoon of flying leaves. It looks so lovely out with the sun and blue sky, but it is extremely frigid and windy. One of the clever RPI groundskeepers decided this was perfect weather to blow the leaves into piles, only to have them blown away again by the constant gusts of wind. Quite questionable.

I hate the chilled to the bone feeling. I would rather be sweating.

I made a scrumpscious Halloween/Birthday cake last week and covered the top with rocky crags of spun sugar. It looks quite impressive, but I need to perfect the technique before recommending it as a Motifa-worthy process.

Waa La!

Tonight Laura and I made a variation on Chicken Breasts with Raspberry Sauce. Despite our lack of several key ingredients, it came out quite well (unlike some pumpkin soups that can go unmentioned…).

Anyway, we had blackberry preserves, so that replaced the raspberry. Also we had no thyme or sage, so I seasoned the chicken with pepper, oregano/basil, and some cinammon. Surprisingly enough, it all turned out very well except that the time the site said for actually cooking the chicken was very underestimated (it took half an hour for us compared with their 8-10 minutes).

Do you think you could use Nutella as a replacement for the fruit preserves!? Muah ha ha!

I thought I had posted about this, but apparently not. Our Queen Motifa site has a lovely new design and some new content as well. Yahoo!

I also have been meaning to post about pixeldecor. She has a lot of cool desktop graphics up there. I used the October calendar on my desktop, which was extremely festive. I’m crossing my fingers for a November calendar, but until then I have a different desktop from there. You can also catch Jen at Very Big Blog. Love that!
