It was a nice long weekend. I had 2 hamburgers. Saturday we went to Hooters and I had an extremely yummy burger special, it had cheese, jalepenos, and mushrooms – and it came with curly fries! Yesterday we went to Anne’s for burgers and tots.. The burgers were surpisingly tasty, I didn’t realize that George Foreman’s grill was good at burgers – I just know its lack of ability in the chicken department. Then we got rather buzzed off of lattes made with an authentic-looking coffee shop machine.. Yum yum. Gee now it sounds like the only thing I did this weekend was eat.

Oak and I were up doing homework until 4am last night (due more to coffee high than geekiness)! Wooey! I made some cute little ‘ol simulations in Flash MX. It took me that long to make a TV, a lamp, and a radio. Aye. The TV was somewhat challenging, but I blame my uber-slow programming skillz (or rather action scripting.. either way, it takes me forever). Oak made a cool discoing block dude in OpenGL. He looks *just like* John Travolta! We listened to “Stayin’ Alive” sooo many times. It’s a good thing I like that song. haha.

Today I didn’t bother doing too much (so far..) watched some Futurama and Vanilla Sky, both of which were highly entertaining and interesting. Being lazy is the best. :)

I find our dance aerobics instructor extremely annoying. Everything she says is in a sing-song voice (I don’t know how else to explain it).. “BASIC RIGHT TWOOO!” I like also how she was wearing purple slouch socks that matched her t-shirt, and capri stretch pants… haha. Someone is stuck in the 80s I think!

I got these Jiffy muffin mixes awhile ago (3 for $1!! a steal! lol). I just looked at the back of the box and it says “PLEASE TRY ME! I’ve been working in America’s kitchens since 1930!” You’d think that would be on the front, no? I mean, you are obviously interested in trying it if you’ve taken the time to turn the box over. It’s also interesting that Jiffy is in quotation marks (“Jiffy”)… so it might be an imitation, I guess. I have a feeling the packaging hasn’t been redesigned since the 50s (though I wonder what was on the side of the box that the nutrition facts are now).. Oh god what am I rambling about? I’m procrastinating like no tomorrow. I shall go try to be productive now :)

When we get sick of our ikea round paper lanterns, we can renew them just like Martha did! Pretty hot, no?

Sometimes I wonder about the sorry state of things here at RPI. lol. :)

Laura went to an info session with Unilever today, and brought back peanut butter in a tube. And a little jar of peanut butter with chocolate chunks in it. I never knew such strange versions of peanut butter existed. Peanut butter in a tube? come on! That takes all the novelty out of sneaking it out of the jar! Maybe if it were peanut butter/jelly tubes, I’d be more impressed.

Had a busy weekend. The Career Fair was on Saturday, where I had fun being “brochure girl” for IBM. Today was a fun journey to Price Chopper and several hours of playing with Flash MX, only to come up with another lame-o prototypeish thing (I have a feeling my prof won’t be too impressed! lol) I’ve got a big ‘ol interview tomorrow (well, Monday) for a position in Global Services. Wish me luck.

Doesn’t it figure, on Thursday my busiest of busy days, I get to participate in fusion? Basically you get a picture someone else made, and you have to create a picture based on theirs. My previous one was pretty weird! I signed up for fusion, oh 6 months ago or so, and had pretty much forgotten about it!

I just used some previous art I had made and made it fit in anyway! Fun fun. I’ll give a link-o when it gets posted.

Please have fun and make some chocolates! Believe me, they were tastier than what they look like in the pictures.

I am going a little nuts. It seems that senior year (in high school and now) is just a stressful time because we are all wondering what is coming next for us in our lives. The Career Fair beckons, and I didn’t redo my portfolio yet. I’m not sure that there’s time to! Projects also loom in the mist for Computer Art and Web Systems Development. Plus I have to watch “Guys and Dolls” AND “Sound of Music” for the American Musical… I don’t know if I can handle that! (I know, tough..)

Maybe I should have just been a rock star or a fashion model instead (Ha! that’s a good one! )… I would be past the peak of my career by now probably, ready to retire for the good life in Southern California. Hehe :)
