I am trying to pinpoint exactly why I have been lax about posting here. I’m not sure. It’s either that the details of my life are not interesting enough to post, or that my life is too interesting that I don’t have any time to post. I hope it’s the latter.
I have been to two “casino nights” on campus this week. I won $100 (well… play money) in blackjack two nights ago. Last night I only made $5 the whole night.. haha. I suppose I am not a high enough roller, I shoulda been betting blue chips. After all, it’s not like I actually would have lost money on the deal!
I’m not sure what I would do if I went to a casino. It was hard enough putting down fake chips, I don’t know what I would do with ones that actually represented real money!
Today was not too exciting. I did get to watch Shall We Dance in The American Musical (that’s a course! mu ha ha!). Fun fun. Then I ate 3 pieces of Belgian chocolate that I’ve had since my birthday. Generally I am just proud that I still have it considering my birthday was 2 months ago!
Tomorrow begins my exercise “regimen” for the semester. The only 2 classes that fit in were two days in a row, so Tuesday and Wednesday will be my “buff” days. Maybe I should try going to the gym on Fridays or something too. Anyway I am not taking step since I am getting extremely sick of it; instead I am taking Cardio Combat (high-ya!) and Dance Aerobics. Fun fun!
As long as I don’t get more chocolate, I should be okay as far as healthy eating for the semester. lol
I would like to make this blog page match the new entrance, but I think I might just redo it all in a few weeks. We shall see. I’ve gotta get the Intramurals site up first. Boo.
Yes, the web now has its own family tree. If you have a weblog (be it livejournal, blogger, or just a regularly-updated website), why not add yourself? I chose my parent blogs as Poprocks.com, one of the first decent personal sites I’ve ever found waaaay back in like 1997, before weblogs were called weblogs really, and Luvliness.net, which is always a source of inspiration!
I now have a firm belief that the fashion industry looks to the designs of carrievision.com for their inspiration.
Last summer/fall, I had a cherry motif. Now cherries are everywhere. Then I had that splash with the cool fabric, and I’ve seen a dress and purse made out of it! Now, I just realized that I own both pink panther socks and a tshirt, which was my last design! Hello! Silly copycat fashion designers.
I am *almost* done setting my room up, this weekend was spent doing a whole lotta nothin’. I did, however, go to my first Happy Hour on Friday. I feel so old. Pretty soon I’ll be blogging about my grandkids. Okay, hopefully not too soon for that one.
In this 17th year of my education, I am finally becoming a little bit of a slacker. (Well as much of a slacker as I can be…) And gee, why not appear to read 6 newspapers without reading them at all? “Gee that Central American, uh, incident! Isn’t that awful! What do you think?”
Woah! We definitely have to try making this baby! YUM YUM!! I think it is an adaptation of the cake mix doctor, but it still must be very yummy if it has kahlua in it!! Lup!
My apologies for not posting. I was away last weekend and also have been trying to get into that old school routine. (Motivation for work=0!)
The parking situation on our campus is ridiculous. They are builiding this new “biotechnology center” on Fifteenth Street, and handily eliminated a huge faculty parking lot. So now our DORM parking lots are now supposedly faculty lots (Warren Hall is totally faculty, Sharp’s is for “overflow”). Well guess what folks, faculty do not want to walk all the way from the dorms to their buildings, so there are oh, 50 or so free parking spots where students used to readily park. Maybe they will realize this soon and make one row of the lot for faculty instead of the whole thing.
My classes are all going well, I dropped my 20th credits since they were at 8am and not THAT great to get up for. Muhaha. The American Musical is great, we just watch movies. Our homework for Thursday is to watch Showboat. Hmm, I wonder if I can handle that one. Yay for free electives!
I have been trying to find some fall shoes. Some that won’t kill my feet while walking across campus yet are still fashionable. I am so sick of oxfords, though, they scream 10th grade to me and I really don’t feel the need to visit that time again (I did have some blue Bass oxfords back then, and let me tell you I thought they were hot stuff!). I am considering getting some of those bowling-type shoes since they are the only ones I haven’t had yet. But do they really scream Carrie? I guess I will have to go around the mall and try a bunch on to decide. Yes yes.
