Okay, in this entry I’m going to complain – many of you have already heard about this saga ( just listed everyone in my head and decided have been bitching way too much) so I encourage you not to read on, as you are probably sick of hearing about this dumb thing, I am sick of talking about it! I just really want to use this entry for revenge, perhaps WetSeal executive or Better Business bureau will read my store and be oh-so-sympathetic.

I bought these very hot sandals at Wetseal on, oh, July 5th I think. I wore them to work and out shopping, that’s about all (not even every day, probably 5-6 times over the course of 2 weeks). Anyhow, I was disappointed to find a HOLE in the sole of the shoe worn through to the inside on Sunday. So yesterday I decided, oh I will just take them back to the store, they’ll give me store credit or something because their product is obviously defective, right?

So I go in and explain, with the shoes and the box they came in, and the receipt, to the manager. She said, “There’s nothing I can do about this, we don’t return worn merchandise.” I said something to the tune of never coming to the store again, and she was like, “Ok I understand.” HELLO! You are losing a customer here! And now I am stuck with a $30 pair of sandals that are damaged already! Ugh.

My solution is to write several strongly-worded letters, and hopefully get a refund or coupon of some sort! I’d even send them the frickin’ shoes if it wasn’t going to cost $6. Though I used to love Wet Seal, I’m not sure I can go back there again. A clothing item could fall apart in one day and they wouldn’t return it! I think that is ridiculous.

I also was putting a bandaid on my knee last night and I opened one of them and there was no bandage part on it, only sticky stuff! I think I am going to become just like my French teacher, who always used to tell us her tales of consumerism gone bad and how she would get coupons and stuff for writing complaints. Yeah, that’s me. LOL
