Well, I got part of my new layout up!! Will finish it soon, I promise :)

Department luncheon today at Maggiano’s. It was tasty, though I wasn’t very impressed with the salad. I’m just the sort of person that likes lots of what I like to call “chunks” in my food.. chunky tomato sauce, lotsa stuff on pizza, various vegetables in my salad, oh yeah. The only place I find chunks objectionable is in peanut butter. Oak and I have had many heated debates over this. Smooth just seems the way to go there, folks.

I also would like to mention that I got a hot little number today at one of my famous “Boutiques” (Is that the correct plural for that word? Is it Boutiquii? I wonder now, with my career as a writer and all.) It’s a little black semi-formal number with a flouncy skirt. Also tried on a pink sequinned thing with a big bow on the bottom hem. Was tres 80s retro stylish, but didn’t zip up all the way so much. Damn.

By the way, I’m really hoping to throw up some lame-o new layout up here soon. I need the motivation of a piece of crap being on here to create something new. I guess the problem is that I’ve just been somewhat uninspired lately as far as design goes. I’m hoping that my probably uneventful weekend will be inducive to web design madness. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh man! I just donated blood! It always makes me feel so noble, yet very physically messed up at the same time. I can feel my body frantically trying to replace my lost plasma. lol.

I tried to find GW boutique last night, but it was a very bad rainstorm and it was dark, I couldn’t see where I was going, then when I finally did find the road that it’s on, it was all blocked off!! Whatever! They really need the rain here though, but I don’t think it was absorbing very well because the roads had floods of water on them.

That’s okay though, I’m sure more “vintage shopping” will take place soon. Fun fun! We also have to go grocery shopping since all we have is an abundance of chicken. (though chicken is YUMMY!).

Oh and my mom sent me a hot bathing suit!!! It has pink cadillacs on it.. and palm trees, and a girl in a pink dress.. lol… plus, oh baby, it has pink sequins around the top! It’s my first 2 piece bathing suit (ok it’s more like one of those tankini things) since I was twelve! hehe. Now I just have to sunbathe sometime soon :)

I enjoy free coffee. Especially when there is fancy free creamers as well. Mm, hazelnut. Excuse me while I go bounce off some walls!

PS Mountain Dew is also good, but it costs 25 whole cents. I have to stay on my budget here people!

Hello Hello! I had an interesting experience while going to buy watercolor supplies (which, by the way, cost an arm and a leg! The fricking paper is the most ridiculous). Anyhow, I was just pleasantly leaving the Crossroads complex thingy and somehow I got on I-40. I was like, oh damn. Oh well, I’ll just get off at the next exit and turn around. Stupid me, I got off on the next exit but it was to I-440, the frickin’ Beltline! The beltline seems utterly confusing, the inner beltline goes one way, the inner goes the other, but they both go in a circle so it’s just.. impossible!

If you have ever ridden with me, you may be able to imagine my state of panic. (I am not known for my superb driving skills.. hehe) I did find my way back to 40, which is my savior. If all else fails, take 40 and get off where work is.. lol. I don’t think I made this whole thing sound dramatic enough at all. It was truly traumatizing. :)

Some exciting news from RPI , the release of Kathleen Ruiz’s Virtual Dancer. It kind of freaked me out that I randomly found this article and was like, “hey, that’s at my school!” I actually also interviewed Professor Ruiz freshman year for one of my classes! :)

Sometimes I actually prefer being alone and paying tons of attention to MOI.. How self indulgent of me. Here are my favorite things to do while hanging out with one of the funnest people ever (ME! haha):

  • Spend a long time making a tasty tidbit of some sort.
  • Go shopping, try on tons of clothes, but buy nothing
  • Rent old movies nobody else would agree to watching
  • Take a bath with candles!
  • Cuddle up with a good book (I just purchased Three Black Skirts)
  • Driving around singing cheesy melodies – I actually found my way today between Target and Walmart ! woohoo.
  • Giving myself a ridiculous hairdo and walking around the house with it (very fun!)

How’s your weekend going?

I found a new way for us to make Weenies for our next motifa party! Since pigs in blankets always go over so well, maybe these will work too! People love their weenies!

Just been totally pooped lately. I’ve been dying to get this new layout I made up on here, but after looking at HTML all day I really don’t feel a burning desire to do more when I get home. Hopefully soon!

Was reading The Spectator (a Triangle-area newspaper of stuff to do, similar to the MetroLand in Albany), and my horoscope said I was going to have a terrible work week, but to respect my “precious organism.” So I’ve decided to refer to myself as this from now on.

“Gee, my precious organism really doesn’t feel like doing any more work today!”

“My precious organism enjoys doing ab exercises!”

And so on. Yesterday we went to an extremely high-class Arby’s – there was carpet and brass stuff and wood pillars and things – very strange, the complete opposite of that extremely ghetto Arby’s that’s on the way to Binghamton. (Shira, Oak, and Pete are highly familiar with this establishment!) Fancy Smancy!

I don’t know about you guys, but to go on a LINUX LUNACY cruise sounds like heaven! I mean really, going on a cruise to the Carribean and then sitting around in seminars on the boat all day? That’s like the craziest cruise ever, dudes! Sign me up!
