Like those commercials for Allegra, I see a man mowing the grass in our quad and like a hallucination, I see huge molecules of grass pollen flying toward me, just waiting to make me sneeze. I love spring, I love to see things growing and being green and pretty colors instead of icky gray… I just happen to be allergic to every kind of living organism.
When I was a little kid, I got allergy testing done. After getting a zillion shots and drips of every kind of allergin on my skin, my mom and I got a 20 page packet of all the things I’m allergic to. There’s your normal things, like cats, dogs, grass, dust, tree pollen, feathers… but it was especially hilarious since like every genus of possible tree or plant that I was allergic to was listed. “The Kabooki Tree – only located in Eastern Indochina.” Hmm, riiight!
