I’ve arrived back in good ‘ol western NY. There’s snow on the ground and 50 mph winds. And it was 60 and sunny in Albany yesterday. I think my body is very confused.

Another fun journey on Amtrak this afternoon – today the train was going to Toronto so I had one of the fancy trains with the blue interiors instead of the regular ‘ol maroonish-orange motif. It was extremely cold on there because I didn’t bring my winter coat, and they kept opening the door to let people off (how dare they!). It was really smart of me to not bring appropriate clothing, eh? lol.

So anyway, I thought this weekend was going to be quite boring and lonely, but more people were around than I thought were going to be! Went to Crossgates and a diner on Friday night and played several hours of Super Monkeyball. On Saturday Shira and I had several hours of fun at GW boutique and had dinner at Ali Babba.

Then we watched Trading Spaces on TV – the episode where Hildi glued hay on the walls of a living room. What is she, nuts? Strange as she is, it was a very entertaining episode. The kitchen redo that Genevive did was extremely hot. :-) hehe. I’ll be catching up on all my daytime TV this week. Yay!

Well, things seem to be getting better. Even the weather seems to be cooperating. I almost have my proposal done, and I’ve taken some steps to alleviate my financial situation. I love to see people walking around outside with t-shirts on instead of 10 layers of winter clothing. Ah, simple pleasures.

I won my first ever physical fitness type award today. In aerobics we had a contest of who could lie down with their feet 6 inches off the ground the longest. Our instructor was like, “The winner gets a prize!” So I pictured things such as tropical vacations and new cars while breathing steadily and holding holding holding. It was quite the competition. My hands fell asleep after about 2 minutes – I think it finally took like 4 minutes until I was the last person left. All for a piece of candy. But hey – that candy was YUM – MEEE.

Hi folks. Just wanted to let you know that I’m in a state of financial distress! I’m so sick of thinking of loans, insurance policies and the like. I wonder how I am going to get everything paid for. This is when going to a high-class academic institution really kicks you in the ass. Oh dear. I love how they changed my amount of financial aid without even telling me. Thank you RPI, I really appreciate it! Geez.

I hope my financial turmoil now is not a prediction for the rest of my lifetime. Hopefully once I make real money things will get easier – it’s hard to pay for things with a 9-hour-a-week work study job. Maybe I should just start living a survivor-type lifestyle, ie move to some uncharted land and eat berries and kill small woodland animals for food. Do they have internet access there by any chance?

I’m really glad that our professor moved the due date for our project proposals (to Monday! The first day of spring break).. there was no way I would have gotten it done well tonight. Blech Blech Blech.

In honor of my new favorite saying, screams of pain in many different languages.

Luckily I got in the B range on my database systems test – I might not fail, woohoo! I think I’m going to be at RPI until Sunday so I am making a “MUY exciting list of things to do ™.” That might even mean some new stuff on here so keep a lookout!

I don’t have much to talk about! Spring break is next week, yaheeooeey! I’m also doing “squatters rights” tomorrow so I have my dorm room next year. What am I doing for spring break you ask? I am going to lovely western New York! :-) It will be good to see the ‘rents but at the same time I wish I were going to some exotic or exciting location!

I just bid on a clarinet on Ebay – one with no reserve so I put a max bid of $20. Like it is ever going to stay that low! Haha! Well a girl can dream! :-)
