This weekend we went to Oak’s house to babysit his family’s multitudes of animals. (and I mean multitudes: turtles, a pig, chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, mice, big scary fish….). I was scared when Porkchop (the piggie) came running at me snorting away. Yikes. Oak and I were both sneezing the whole weekend from all the critters.

We did, however, relieve our clogged sinuses with a dinner at “Hard Wok Buffet” (Isn’t that the most clever name ever?! I laughed for like 10 minutes when I saw it). Then we went to see “Panic Room.” Jodie Foster in this movie is like a female McGyver.

Now I’m back and because it’s Easter, I feel the need to finish off my Belgian chocolate. I must resist this urge and do my freaking writing project instead. I was supposed to have a feasibility study done by tomorrow – but I never got all the financial information or whatever. Oops. Woe is me!

Talk about tired! I just started to worry again about the Car Fiasco(tm). I really have no idea what I’m going to do, what car I am going to get, where I’m going to get it, how I’m going to finance it.. Et Cetera Et Cetera. Bleeeech.

Should I upgrade to the next version of Movable Type? I guess I’ll do it this weekend. I’m such a sucker for new publishing systems, and I guess the interface of it looks different now. And it has some new bells and whistles that might be useful too. Goodie Good.

My motivation level is at about zero lately. Obviously not good. Though I have been getting some things done. Yay. Well tomorrow I gotta get up extra early (like 5:45 AM!! BLEABAAH!) so I should go to sleep now.

I did one of those lengthy, annoying email survey thingamabobs. Enjoy.

Sounds like the title of a grade-school essay. My muy exciting weekend consisted of:

  • Seeing Ocean’s 11 for the second time
  • Drawing help items for Crystal Dreams
  • Seeing the new episode of Trading Spaces on Saturday night – I enjoyed Hildy’s “nautical” theme
  • Trying to get a “C” in Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) but failing terribly
  • Helping Oak with his Europe scrapbook and losing badly at Monkeyball (what is happening to me?!)
  • Rewriting my proposal paper on Sunday (many hours of boring labour)

    If this wasn’t a high-style, glamourous weekend I don’t know what is!

Did I mention that Oak brought back Belgian chocolate from his trip to Europe? (among several other goodies.. I’m so spoiled!). Anyway, this chocolate is just killing me. It’s a little variety pack thing, and so far the hazelnut cream one was the best one. I almost died when I ate that one! :-D

By the way… my movable type statistics say that I have 99 comments… a prize will go to the 100th commenter! ;-)

I’ve found my 21st birthday party theme!. (which is in July mind you, but I’m planning ahead!) Of course, it would have to be sophisticized with Cosmopolitans and cocktail weenies! The Barbie cake really puts it over the top!

I apologize for my lack of updates – my live has been enveloped in doing Database Systems homework.

An important observation this week: all of the “campus notices” boards have been updated with new backing stuff to staple things onto. They all look so shiny and new. The old ones had many years of torn-off poster corners stuck on them, and then were rained on and ruined.. etc etc. I’m sure this is in preparation for GM week, which is coming up soon. The boards will be plastered with millions of election posters and whatnot. It’s already started.

Tonight is the “Vendor Food Show” in the Commons. Basically millions of vendors come and set up stands, and they give away tons of free stuff. All junk food – but oh so yummy. My diet lately has been just horrid, and I haven’t been to aerobics in 2 weeks either. I had to miss it on Tuesday. Bummer. I will go Friday! Yay!

And…. my Martha Stewart magazine finally came today! Yahooey! I’m going to go read that baby now!

My spring break greatly improved on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I went shopping with my mom at Marketplace Mall (a dinky mall about 1/4 the size of Crossgates). I got some good clothing items including a khaki skirt, a red dress shirt, and a t-shirt with a funky comic book-type character on it. And some nifty accessories from Claire’s. Yippee.

Then we went to see Bye Bye Birdie at my alma mater, LeRoy High School. It was fairly amusing! The evening ended with a trip to Denny’s. (I was confused about where I was… Denny’s is such a common RPI excursion.)

Now I am in a quandry about the Database Systems homework. I would rather type and type and type on here than try to decipher what the heck we are supposed to be doing. Aye yi yi. The book seems to be in a foreign language. It’s like, “compute the minimal cover and determine if the result is a superkey.” Um, yes, I know exactly how to do that. Right!

Each day I am growing more and more apathetic towards the financial world. Really. Banks can just BITE ME! Now I know why robberies happen.. I’d really consider it if it didn’t have such vast consequences!

I went to the optometrist and picked out some new glasses. They have plastic frames. The last 3 pairs I’ve had were metal frames so I figured I would go for the cool funk style. I hope I made the right choice! I got them at walmart, and there were all these people in the eyecare center and my mom had them all voting on whether I should get blue frames or brown frames. I got the brown ones because I got more votes for those babies. They just about match my hair color, so they blend in better than the bright blue suckers. I think that my “intellectual look” will be greatly increased once I get them. lol. AND.. luckily only one of my eyes changed, so I can still wear my metal frames! Party time!

Shira put up her digital photographs from our exciting meal at Ali Baba’s Mediterranean Restaurant. See how large the bread is. I seriously feel it could be a lethal weapon, especially when directly out of the heat of the brick fire oven.
