I was surfing the net today and I found a shocking article…. The REAL Trading Spaces. I just KNEW it, Alex McLeod is a bitchy diva from way back! And it just happens to be an inside article on one of those most controversial episodes of all time – the one with the mother and daughter team who declare, “I ain’t pullin’ up no carpet – that’s a MAN’S job!!!” and then proceed to have someone ELSE do their homework for the evening, and they GO OUT! Apparently this was not staged but actually REAL! This is a must-read for Trading Spaces fans! I also found that Dez, the scary lady that likes to make weird lamps and combine red and green; yellow and purple; etc etc, has her own portfolio site. I didn’t realize she actually made money off those lamps!
Figured the site needed a change. Right now it’s just a weblog but I’ll be adding more as soon as I get another burst of energy! I like to get things up before I decide I hate them. I loved the cherry layout but it was up for months. Happy 2002!
I ding-a-ling-linged about books too soon. Apparently the bookstore had NONE of the books I wanted available used, so I ended up spending $180 on four books. Gotta love that. First day of class was today, things seem okay so far. I know I’ll be working my little tooshie off though, yikes.
Big news. My favorite movie musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, is out on DVD! Why is this a big deal? My copy is a copy of a copy taped off the Disney channel about 10 years ago. To get a real copy of the show up until this point meant spending about $200 on E-bay. No kidding. Not that I have a DVD player, but I might just buy the DVD for the day when I do have one! Or perhaps someone wants to get it for me as a late Christmas/New Year/Winter Solstice gift? Muhaha.
Other than this, life is pretty dull at this point. Should be having an exciting day in Rah-cha-cha tomorrow, going back to school on Sunday. This evening was spent watching a lot of worthless television. I can’t complain though. I enjoy being lazy… less than a week from now will be back to papers, programs, projects, tests.. eww.. don’t even get me started!
Shame on me for not writing the past week. Happy 2002! I spent the New Year with Oak; we went to the Museum of Natural History on New Year’s Eve. This past week I also saw 3 movies – Johnny Neutron, Ocean’s 11, and A Beautiful Mind. Before college I was lucky if I saw 3 movies in the theater in a year, and now I’ve seen 5 movies in the past month! lol. I also lost many games of pool within only a few hours. Let’s face it, I suck at anything that requires sport of any kind! Anyway, it was a fun week, I took the train back to Rochester yesterday, which was very nice because it was pretty empty and I had 2 seats to myself… zzzz
I ordered my books for next semester online, only $137, ding a ling ling! A week from now classes begin once again…
