So yes, I am trying to decide between many classes to take next semester. I need to get all decisive soon.

for sure:

Database Systems (CSCI 4380) – Tuesdays and Fridays 10-11:50 AM

PENDING CLASSES

One of these two communications classes:

Intermediate Visual Communication (COMM 4650) – Tuesdays and Fridays 12-1:50 PM

Usability Testing (COMM-4964) – Tuesdays and Fridays 2-3:50 PM

And two of these:

Marketing Principles – (MGMT 4430) – Mondays and Thursdays 10-11:50 AM

Computer Art (ART-2040) Mondays and Thursdays 2-3:50 PM

Learning -(PSYC 4450) Mondays and Thursdays 2-3:50 PM

Applications of Cognitive Science – Games (PSYC 4968) – ??????

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Right now it’s lookin’ like Usability Testing and Marketing Principles, plus one of the two psychology classes to fulfill my social science requirement. But it looks like I won’t be having classes on Wednesdays, plus I’ll be getting a break for lunch. Ding. Are you taking an interesting sounding social sciences course? Let me know!

Send Halloween greetings with the Halloween card I designed for the October contest at Luvliness.net.

Yesterday was just incredibly interesting in general. Yes, yes, interest abound.

Something very exciting to share was our experience at Plum Blossom, a Chinese restaurant here. It was very cool! I always suspected it was kind of ghetto, but it really wasn’t at all – they are almost finished renovating the inside, it has all sorts of beautiful woodwork and sculptures and whatnot. Since this was an “exciting evening out” we decided to get something we weren’t exactly sure what it was – so we got a Poo Poo Platter. I just enjoy saying that – “I would like a Poo Poo Platter please!”

But it was just regular appetizers – it did come with a huge fire in the center though! The real adventure was in the dish I ordered, which was orange duck with lychees. Now I had no idea what a lychee was, so I ate it very reluctantly. It was strange because it was squooshy, and it “looked like a squid’s head!” (Okay, who’s laughing at how dumb we are yet?).

I decided to eat one all at once but it was so hot that it burned the inside of my mouth – eek! After all this hemming and hawing, we finally decided to ask the waiter what the heck those little things were. We had assumed it was some kind of animal, when in reality it is an asian fruit that grows like a strawberry! This whole thing was quite educational. The waiter told us they come in a jar and they are actually imported from China – exciting! He brought us some that hadn’t been cooked and they were much yummier! The most hilarious part of all is that he also brought us some of the juice that it comes in the jar with (I think it is stored like fruit salad or canned pineapple).

Things seem so much less threatening when you know what they are. :-)

So I got this search engine thing for my website – if I only I could figure out how to work it. *Sigh!* Maybe it’s not my fault, it’s the server’s. Or rather, it’s definitely the documentation’s fault. Can we say barely any directions? They’re lucky I’m fairly comfortable going in to change stuff in the sourcecode. (and that I know how to read it for that matter). Anyway, I keep getting permission problems that are quite cryptic, I’m pretty sure I CHMODed everything correctly so it’s either a problem with the database, my server, or the source scripts. What do you vote for?

SHIRA should be here any minute! ;-)

I want a database driven personal website! My life is dynamic! I need to develop this! When is there any time to grumble over this? I have a hard enough time redesigning every once in awhile, figuring out how to do this would take awhile. I’ll make it my winter break goal.

I think it would be appropriate to share the wide affliction for Mountain Dew on RPI’s campus. I personally, am not a Mountain Dew addict as many others are. However, I usually purchase some good ‘ol Dew right before Introduction to Literature for Staying Awake Purposes. (SAP. Hey wait, that’s an abbreviation already.). I might be more affiliated with it if I were a

hard core programmer, because this fine substance seems to assist greatly in this aspect. I’ll have to try it the next time I’m SCRIPTING at least. If kegs were not illegal in our residence halls, there would be a huge keg downstairs which would probably last for oh, 4 days perhaps. I swear, Mountain Dew is the coffee of Generation X.

Added about 5 new pages to my online scrapbook. This took a very long time. I feel the need to create a dynamically driven database to make all those pages for me, because that is a large pain in the butt. So I need to figure that out ASAP. Oh yes.

I had lots of fun at KeriSmith.com. I even made my own magic book. I’m off to start filling it with tiny drawings!

Woah, the dude at Goatee Style is currently wearing a blonde wig in front of his webcam. I’d have a webcam, but I usually use the time in my room when nobody else is around to have the dumbest hairdos possible. I’d rather not publicize that.

Well, this was a Monday just like any other. I got a test back (woot woot) and unsurprisingly, Literature class was cancelled (for oh, the third or fourth time this semester). Not that I’m complaining.

I also got a flu shot, so hopefully I won’t get sick very often over the winter. I had a rather.. undelicious meal at the Commons tonight, but I would like to mention my new obsession with tater tots.

I eat tater tots every morning for breakfast. I really need to stop, since I’m sure they are not the healthiest dish available. But SO YUMMY! Today I had some grapefruit with my tater tots to round things out a little bit. So I did have some nutritional value. Then again, all if I gave up tater tots all I would do is complain on here how I WANT tater tots. I might as well die happy. Maybe I’ll start being obsessed with whole-grain cereal or something soon. (doubtful.)

I went to Best Buy with some guys yesterday. And they complain about how women shop. They spent like 45 minutes in the car stereo section! And I’m sure car stereos are about as exciting to me as clothes or home decor items are to them. Based on this argument, I think boys need to stop complaining about women shoppers. hehe ;-)
