So this hilarious JC Penney commercial was banned!!! I found it so freaking amusing – it was an ad for hiphugger jeans, and they show a teenage (16-17 year old) girl modeling them in front of the mirror. Her mom comes in, and exclaims, “You can’t go to school looking like that!” and adjusts her hiphuggers so they sit on her hips.

This so totally reminded me of my mom and I – me being more conservative (ha!) then she is, always trying to talk me into more wild fashions. However, I guess people found this commercial offensive. There was this whole thing on the news yesterday about how little girls are dressing slutty like Britney Spears – and who is responsible for this kind of dress and behavior. Fashion Designers? Marketing? Culture? Parents? We could, of course, place all the blame on poor Britney herself. Sounds like less suffering in general would occur wouldn’t it? But really, if designers didn’t make those kinds of clothes for little kids, duh, they wouldn’t be wearing them!
